  1. An insured has multiple homes (home and cottage or rental property). Is there a way to save both homes without overwriting each other?
    Both quotes must be saved seperately. One will overwrite the other if they are entered into the same quote.

  2. Can I add in additional violations after the user clicks Overwrite with MVR?
    Yes, users can manually enter additional violations and accidents into the grid after clicking Overwrite with MVR.

  3. Can the Comparative Rater rate an auto stated value policy?
    No, at this time we cannot rate stated value auto policies.

  4. Can the MI Comparative Rater for Windows rate a conversion van?
    At this time, our rater does not have the ability to assign special symbols to conversion vans or SUVs. It is possible to rate the vehicle using its new cost by typing the cost into the Cost New field in the symbol lookup window.

  5. Can the MI Comparative Rater for Windows rate a travel trailer or RV?
    At this time, our rater does not have the ability to rate travel trailers or Recreational Vehicles other than those listed as endorsements to home policies.

  6. Can the MI Comparative Rater for Windows rate motorcycles?
    No, at this time we cannot rate motorcycles.

  7. Ctrl-F4 hot key does not work when the rater is running on a Citrix network.
    On the affected machine open up Citrix Program Neighborhood. Click on Tools/ICA Settings Click on the Hotkeys tab "Toggle Latency Reduction" may read Ctrl-F4. If it does, change it to Ctrl-F5

  9. Error: Cannot focus on a disabled or invisible window while working in the windows rater.
    This error message is caused by moving through the rater too quickly or double clicking instead of single clicking. Click through the error message to continue. No information should be lost.

  11. Error: Cannot set data for when try to enter the Windows Rater or trying to run a workstation setup
    This seems to be only happening on workstations running Windows 2000. The user will need to have their Windows 2000 local rights set to "power user" and reboot the machine. Also make sure they have a current mirating.exe file.

    Rebooting the server usually fixes this problem, especially if the end user is at a remote location connecting with Citrix.

    Double-check to be sure the line of business is correct. At this time, Choicepoint is not available from the home side of the rater.

    This is a windows error and often happens when trying to print. Rebooting the workstation usually corrects the problem.
