Receive the following message logging in to MI Management System: Directory is controlled by other .NET File
At least one of the computers is mapped to MI Management System directory under a different drive letter than the other computers. For example, computers 1,2,3 are mapped to F:IMSwin, but computer 4 is mapped to G:IMSwin. May need to work with the hardware vendor on this issue. All computers should be mapped to MI Management System under the same drive letter. If the server is also acting as a workstation it should also be mapped to the same letter. With Windows NT and 2000 a drive can be mapped in Explorer. If the server is Windows 9x the substitute command will be needed (SUBST). Once all computers are looking at the same drive letter Workstation Setup will need to be run on all machines where mapping has been changed. If Workstation Setup fails the first time, re-run it and it will go through fine the second time.

If the message persists after this has been done, follow these steps:
  1. Make all users exit the system
  2. Start, Find, Files or Folders
  3. In the named field type *.net, *.lck
  4. In the Look In browse to ?:IMSwin
  5. Click on Find Now
  6. Delete all net and lck files listed
  7. Try to log in again
