Error: exe not found when bridging from the Applied Management System to the MI Rater
Go to Start/Search/Files and Folders (in Win2000/XP) or Start/Find/Files and Folders (in Win98) and search for an ATS directory. If no ATS directory is found, create an ATS directory: Go to a dos prompt at the root drive and type in "md ats" (ex. f:>md ats) and enter. To create the directory in Windows Explorer, highlight the network drive, go to File/New/folder and create a new folder named ATS.

On Windows 2000/XP Machines:

Make sure the RA/RH variables are set. To do this:

Right click on My Computer, left click on properties. Click on the Advanced tab, then click on the Environment Variables button. You must have the RA and RH variables in either the user variables box or the system variables box. In addition, the RA and RH variables should be pointing to an existing ATS directory on the same drive as Applied rating. This is often a network drive, such as the F: drive. If the RA and RH already exist, delete them out and create new ones by clicking on the new button. In the boxes, type in:

Variable name: RA

Variable value: F:ATSACCESSA.EXE

Click OK, then click on the new button again and type in:

Variable name: RH

Variable value: F:ATSACCESSH.EXE

Click OK.

Reboot the machine.

The following command must only be run once on the network:

Press alt + F9 again

at the prompt, type:

ASL-INST.EXE

and press return.

It doesn’t matter if the variables are created in the user or system box.

NOTE: If your MI is not on the F: drive, then replace the F: with whichever drive letter you need. To find out which drive your MI is on, open the rater and click alt + F9. The first letter in the last line of the DOS box is the drive letter where the MI-Assistant is located.

On Windows 95/98 Machines:

This command must be done on every workstation bridging between Applied and the MI Rater:

enter the MI rater.

press alt + F9

at the prompt, type:

ASW-INST F: and press enter

type exit, reboot, and enter the rater again.

The following command must only be run once on the network:

Press alt + F9 again

at the prompt, type:

ASL-INST.EXE

and press return.
