| How to set up for FTP (internet) downloads. |
- Click Start, Programs, MI-Assistant, Update, Configure MI Remote Modem Software.
- This will bring up an MIRemote32 screen with an MI-Assistant icon in it. Right click on the MI-Assistant icon and go to User Settings and left click.
- Click on the Connection tab and put the dot by FTP.
- Click on the FTP tab and if your connection is a dial-up, make sure the dot is by Use Modem. The internet provider should be listed in the white box below. If the connection is a DSL, T-1, Satellite, or have AOL for a provider, make sure the dot is by Use Network and click ok.
- Right click on the MI-Assistant icon and go to Host Properties and left click.
- Click on the FTP tab and the FTP Address should read ftp.mi-assistant.com. The Login should be the agency's 8-digit code with MI. The FTP Password should look like xxxxxxxxxx. (If for some reason this is missing, MI can create one for you.) Left click ok.
- Right click on the MI-Assistant icon, left click on Connect. The Download and Upload Filename boxes will be blank.
- Left click on Test Download in the lower left-hand corner. This will start the test. It will go through some steps and will come back as One File Transferred in an Information Box. Left click ok.
- Close out of the MIRemote32 screen. Your set-up is complete.
