How to check for InternetEmail Settings

Outlook Express

  • Open Outlook Express
  • Click Tools
  • Click Accounts
  • On the Internet Accounts window, click the Mail tab
  • Highlight the mail account and click Properties
  • Go to the Servers tab
  • Check Account Name and Outgoing Mail (SMTP)
  • Click Cancel and close out of all Outlook Express windows

Outlook 2000

  • Open Outlook
  • Click Tools
  • Click Services
  • On the Services tab, highlight the email account
  • Click Properties.
  • Go to the Servers tab
  • Check Account Name and Outgoing Mail (SMTP)
  • Click Cancel and close out of all Outlook windows

Outlook 2002

  • Open Outlook
  • Click Tools
  • Click Email Accounts
  • In the Email Accounts window, click View or Change existing email accounts
  • In the next window, highlight the email account
  • Click Change
  • In the next window, check Account Name and Outgoing Mail (SMTP)
  • Click Cancel
