| What does the task Backup Database do? |

This task has nothing to do with backing up your system to a different media device such as tape , CD or DVD. This task is a utility for the Interbase database. It creates a file called mimgmt.gbk. In the event that the Interbase database becomes corrupt, this gbk file will be used to restore the data. It is extremely important that this task be run every day. We recommend running it at the end of the day.
