| Error message: Index out of date |
|
Any message that has the word "index" indicates that a database has become corrupted. Run a Dtutil to fix the corruption. All users must exit the management system. Only a Level 1 user may run a dtutil. At the login, go to the Admin Utilities button. There are three ways to run a dtutil. If the error message indicated the database name, run a single dtutil. - Go to the Run Dtutil32 button.
- Click on the Single tab.
- In table name, use the drop down list to select the table.
- Click on the Verify button.
- Click on the Rebuild button.
If the error message doesn't indicate a database name, but the error occurred when the user was in a particular area of the management system, run a selective dtutil. - Go to Selective Dtutil button.
- Click on the drop down and select the group or area.
- Click on Run Dtutil button.
- Click on Done.
If the user has no idea where the problem is occurring, run a multiple dtutil. This is will usually take longer than the other options because it has to do all tables. In addition, this utility is less accurate and does not always solve the problem. - Go to the Run Dtutil 32 button.
- Go to the Multiple tab.
- Click on Verify.
- When it is done verifying the databases, the problem databases will be highlighted in blue. Click on Rebuild button.
