Free Companies!

Effective Jan 2004 - there will no longer be a fee to add companies or lines to MI-Rater RT! This translates to no initial fee to add a company or line, and no increase in your monthly carrier fees.

We've recognized that many of you have removed companies from your rating program for reasons such as low usage or opting to use a company website. However, you serve your customers best by providing the maximum amount of choice for their insurance.

Therefore, FSC has elected to allow you to add all your licensed carriers to the program for no additional up-front or per-carrier maintenance fees. We encourage you to visit the support section of our website to add the companies you represent on to your rater, free of charge. To make this shift as smooth as possible, we are initially limiting the number of companies to forty until we have better statistics on file sizes and updating issues.

Third Party Report Ordering Progress

Recognizing that a smooth workflow is vital to your agency's productivity, more than 45 carriers have partnered with FSC to offer Insurance scores, MVRs, and Claims Loss History reports from within MI-Rater RT. We Need to Work Together

In simple terms, there are two paths for your agency in personal lines. The first path is to use proprietary carrier sites for quoting and basically return to the era of single-company disks. The second is to provide choice to your customers and still have an efficient selling process for your agency. We need to work together to continue to make this option a reality. Here are four things you can do to receive an efficient, multi-carrier workflow:

1. Implement the Third-Party Report Ordering Module in your office: Each week, more agencies are ordering integrated reports through the MI-Rater RT, allowing them to accurately and comparatively quote and underwrite prospective insureds. However, carriers will only continue to invest in this technology if agencies are fully implementing it. Make it a part of your 2004 automation goals to implement third-party report ordering within MI-Rater RT.
2. Install and utilize all of the carrier bridge/upload programs available: FSC has upload capabilities with more than 30 carriers. It is imperative that your agency staff is trained on how to efficiently upload to your carriers for once and done processing to be a reality.
3. Contact your carriers and demand that they offer integrated report ordering through your MI-Rater RT: FSC is extremely appreciative of the 45+ leading carriers that have stepped up to provide you with an efficient workflow. For those that haven't they need to hear from you that this technology is needed in order for you to efficiently write business with their organization.
4. Add All Companies to your comparative rater: As FSC has eliminated add fees or maintenance fees for additional carriers, now is the time to add all of your licensed companies to the comparative rater to provide maximum choice for your customers.
